Social Responsibility Report

Overview

The report is Guangshen Railway’s first corporate social responsibility report for 2008, organized around six responsibilities spanning construction, transportation, work safety, stability, public charity and environmental protection. It reports 83.83 million passenger delivery volume and 70.14 million tonnes of freight in 2008. Safety efforts included rescue drills involving 450 workers from 24 rescue teams or trains. Employee support included 447 training programs attended 97,434 person times, while environmental initiatives included energy-saving measures and extensive tree and shrub planting.
