Sustainability Report

Overview

The report presents GDI's 2013 sustainability performance across economic, social, and environmental areas, covering operations in Qatar. Highlights include 1,395 employees from 45 countries, zero fatalities among employees and contractors, and direct GHG emissions of 86,179 tonnes CO2e. GDI reports 1,131,813 GJ of direct energy consumption, 2,019 tonnes of total waste generated, and 100% rig utilization. It also describes the creation of a Corporate Social Responsibility Committee and an internally conducted materiality assessment.
