Overview

The report describes the company's FY2017 intensification of environmental action, including energy-saving measures, biodiversity activities, chemical management and environmentally contributing photonics products. It reports 50,387 tons of carbon emissions and presents a 313,785 t-CO2 Scope 3 total, while stating that Scope 3 calculations are based on the GHG Protocol. HPK also became a UN Global Compact signatory and participated in CDP reporting. The 2018 edition adds social activities to the environmental reporting scope for the first time.
