Overview

The report describes Hellmann's first global energy inventory, totaling 100,960 megawatt hours in 2022, and reports Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions of 19,196 and 5,258 metric tons of CO2 equivalents. A Sustainability Council under the entire Management Board and a stakeholder-based materiality analysis shaped the sustainability approach. Social disclosures include the company's global workforce, occupational accidents, and human-rights complaints, while the report also describes realized green-electricity, sustainable-fuel, and supply-chain due-diligence activities. Hellmann states that a complete three-scope corporate emissions report is a future goal for 2024.
