Overview

The report describes Henkel's Group-wide sustainability management structure, with the Management Board responsible and a Sustainability Council steering implementation. It reports 2002 environmental data from 117 major production sites in 45 countries, covering 90 percent of Group production, including 2,172 thousand megawatt hours of energy, 7,750 thousand cubic meters of water consumption, and 165 thousand metric tons of waste. It also records no employee fatalities and five contractor fatalities, while highlighting ISO 14001 certification and continuing sustainability objectives.
