Overview

The report presents HCC's 2010-11 sustainability program as a GRI G3 A+ report, with extensive water-management initiatives, including 1.78 million m3 of total water consumption and 374372 m3 recycled. It reports a total workforce of 30636 and discloses direct GHG emissions of 21.55 million tons CO2e and indirect energy emissions of 20,727 tons CO2e. The report also covers employee health and safety, community programs, material issues and an independent assurance engagement by Ernst & Young.
