Business Responsibility Report

Overview

The report describes HMVL's FY2016-17 Business Responsibility policies and performance across ethics, employee wellbeing, human rights, environmental protection and CSR. It reports 1,308 employees and says that two sexual-harassment complaints were adequately dealt with by the Internal Committee. Environmental initiatives included recycling 19% of water per metric ton of newsprint and reducing CO2 emissions per metric ton by 5% versus FY15-16. CSR expenditure was INR 3.97 crores, directed to healthcare, education, vocational skills and national heritage.
