Sustainability Report

Overview

The report presents HKBU's 2022 sustainability activities through education, research and campus initiatives aligned with all 17 SDGs. It highlights a COVID-19 response that provided free online Chinese medicine consultations and served more than 41,000 patients, close contacts and carers. Campus measures include a five-year energy efficiency plan, solar PV development and a 90% recorded reduction in straw consumption. The report also covers inclusion programmes, sustainable procurement and food policies, water-refill stations, waste reduction and biodiversity-related learning.
