Sustainability Report

Overview

The report presents HKBU's 2023 sustainability activities through academic, research and operational contributions mapped to the SDGs. It highlights 536 courses incorporating SDG-related keywords and a campus solar project that generated approximately 200,000 kilowatt-hours of renewable energy by 30 June 2023, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 97 tonnes. The report also records a Carbon Neutrality Strategy Plan with a 50% Scope 1 and 2 reduction target by 2035/36 and carbon neutrality for those scopes by 2044.
