Overview

The report describes the Group's CSR approach as extending beyond community welfare to economic sustainability and care for communities, employees, customers and the environment. During FY2009, environmental initiatives included recycling campaigns, air pollution controls and waste-management programs; the Bank also supported Earth Hour by switching off non-essential lights at 35 branches. The report also describes workforce development programs and scholarship and community-welfare support through the Hong Leong Foundation.
