Sustainability Report Management Approach

Overview

The report describes IAMGOLD's 2020 sustainability performance across health and safety, workforce, communities and environmental stewardship. It reports no fatalities among employees and contractors, a total of 3,939 permanent employees and significant community support during the COVID-19 pandemic. Environmental highlights include the Essakane solar plant, energy-and-emissions strategy development, water stewardship and biodiversity management. The report also describes governance through the Board's Safety, Environment and Reserves Committee and ongoing implementation of GRI, SASB, TSM and Responsible Gold Mining Principles.
