Sustainability Report

Overview

The report describes the JT Group's 2017 sustainability progress, including a 21.2% reduction in total GHG emissions between 2009 and 2017, ahead-of-schedule achievement of its environmental target, and expanded renewable-energy initiatives. Its Agricultural Labor Practices program observed 90% of directly contracted leaf growers, while community programs engaged employees and supported children in farming communities. The report covers the entire JT Group wherever possible and was compiled in accordance with the GRI G4 Core option.
