Overview

The report presents the Group's CSR action framework across safe service, environmental action, community contribution, workplace, transparency and compliance. For FY2007 it reports 30,040 consolidated employees and operating revenues of ¥2,689,300 million. Environmental highlights include a target of approximately 0.282 kg-CO2/kWh for FY2008-FY2012 and biomass fuel use at Maizuru reducing CO2 by around 90,000 t per year. The report reproduces Tohmatsu Environment Research Institute Ltd.'s limited independent review of material environmental information.
