Overview

The report describes Kingfisher's Future Homes strategy across products, stores, customers, communities, suppliers and economic growth. In 2008/09, eco products accounted for 7% of total sales, 72% of reported timber volume came from proven well-managed forests or recycled sources, and store waste recycling reached 38%. The company achieved an 11% reduction in CO2 emissions per £ million retail sales since 2006/07 and made estimated community contributions of £1.39 million. Group CR data was independently reviewed by Ernst & Young, alongside review by an independent Stakeholder Panel.
