Overview

The report highlights Kingfisher's Future Homes strategy, organized around innovation, energy, timber and communities, and intended to make sustainable living easy and affordable. During 2010/11, Group eco-product sales reached £1.1 billion, or 10.5% of total retail sales. Timber sourced from well-managed forests or recycled sources reached 81%, while B&Q UK achieved 100% responsible timber sourcing. The Group also reports a 25% reduction in carbon-equivalent emissions from energy and transport per £ million retail sales against 2006/07, alongside a 36% absolute reduction in total store waste disposed.
