The report describes Komatsu's materiality assessment and three global CSR themes for the year. It reports group-wide FY2010 environmental impacts, including 112kt of waste generated and 561kt-CO2 of atmospheric CO2 emissions. The company also committed 800 million yen in equipment, housing, and other disaster-relief support following the Tohoku earthquake. An independent review by Deloitte Tohmatsu Evaluation and Certification Organization provided limited assurance over quantitative environmental information.
