Overview

The report describes the Kyowa Hakko Kirin Group's first full year after the 2008 merger, covering social, environmental and stakeholder activities. It reports fiscal 2008 CO2 emissions of 668,000 tons, a 5.5% year-on-year reduction, and a new 3% group-wide reduction target for fiscal 2012. The Group generated 115,474 tons of waste and reduced final landfill disposal to 32 tons, achieving zero emissions for the fourth consecutive year.
