Sustainability Report

Overview

The report is Lidl UK's first sustainability report and introduces its “A Better Tomorrow” CSR strategy. It reports progress in responsible sourcing, British supplier relationships, healthier food initiatives, and colleague programmes. Environmental highlights include an energy-management system certified to ISO 50001 and a reported 15% reduction in carbon emissions per pallet between 2015 and 2016. The company also launched Feed It Back, a national programme to connect stores with local causes and redistribute food surplus.
