Environmental Report

Overview

The report presents Maybank's first standalone Environmental Report, covering Group climate action and environmental performance. It reports a 49% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions to 62,761 tCO2e in FY2023, alongside Scope 3 operational emissions of 22,588 tCO2e. The report also sets out a carbon-neutral-by-2030 and net-zero-carbon-equivalent-by-2050 ambition, supported by TCFD, GRI, SASB and GHG Protocol references and external assurance.
