The report presents Maybank's 2024 environmental strategy and performance, including its transition to IFRS S1 and S2 climate reporting, 32.6 million tCO2e of financed emissions, and a 53% initiatives-based reduction in operational Scope 1 and 2 emissions against the 2019 baseline. It also reports 2024 operational emissions of 65,422 tCO2e for Scope 1 and 2 and 50,314 tCO2e for Scope 3, after broadening the boundary to include employee commuting.
