Overview

The report presents Marcegaglia Steel's fifth voluntary sustainability report, prepared using ESRS ahead of mandatory timing and supported by a double materiality assessment. For 2024 it reports 6,592 employees, 3,035,237 MWh of total energy consumption, 517,685 tCO2eq of gross Scope 1 emissions, and 15,015,142 tCO2eq of gross Scope 3 emissions. The report also describes decarbonisation projects including CCS, Green DRI, renewable-energy expansion, and rail logistics. Forvis Mazars provided limited assurance over the consolidated sustainability report.
