Overview

The report describes MarketAxess' 2019 launch of its sustainability program, with ESG oversight by the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee and an internal Sustainability and ESG Committee. It reports over 525 employees, 25% women on the board, and community alignment with SDGs 4 and 8. Environmental initiatives include LEED Gold headquarters, a BREEAM-certified London office, recycling, and energy- and water-efficiency measures. Its Trading for Trees program provides five trees for every $1 million of green-bond trades and was expected to plant over 100,000 trees in 2020.
