Overview

The report highlights Maruti Suzuki's 2010-11 sustainability performance across manufacturing, resource conservation and social initiatives. It reports 326,439 MT of GHG emissions for the Gurgaon and Manesar plants and total water consumption of 1,909,773 m3. The company also sent 6,447 T of hazardous waste for cement-industry co-processing and expanded road-safety training, with more than 850,000 people trained cumulatively by March 2011. Sustainability governance was supported by materiality analysis, Board direction and external assurance by DNV.
