Overview

The report covers MEC's FY2023 sustainability activities and highlights a 50% reduction target for total domestic Scope 1 and 2 emissions by FY2030 from FY2017. It reports 454 consolidated employees and describes 33,804 m3 of water usage and 423 t of industrial waste generated in Japan. Climate governance is assigned to an ESG Committee that submits proposals to and is supervised by the Board of Directors. The report also includes a SASB Chemicals index and TCFD-aligned climate disclosures.
