Overview

The report presents Metcash's first annual Sustainability Report for FY21, highlighting a 14% reduction in reported NGERS emissions to 72,948 tonnes CO2-e and a 10% improvement in waste-to-landfill diversion. It describes adoption of a 42% emissions-reduction target by 2030, alongside climate governance through the ESG Council, Group Leadership Team and Board. Community initiatives included $2.94m donated through the IGA Community Chest Program and 417 tonnes of food rescued.
