Overview

The report is Nanfang Communication’s first ESG Report for 2016 and covers two optical fibre cable production sites and offices in the PRC and Hong Kong. It presents a stakeholder questionnaire and materiality assessment covering 20 ESG topics, with customer and environmental matters identified as the main concerns. Environmental initiatives include ISO 14001 certification at Wu Jin Factory, resource monitoring, waste segregation and wastewater reuse. The report also describes employee OHS and training programs, supplier environmental and social screening, anti-corruption controls and community donations.
