Annual Environmental Report

Overview

The report is National Gas Transmission's second Annual Environmental Report and its first as a standalone business for 2022/23. It reports Scope 1 emissions of 367657 tCO2e and Scope 2 emissions of 37733 tCO2e, for a total business carbon footprint of 405390 tCO2e. It reiterates a net-zero-by-2050 commitment with a 2040 ambition, while noting the target will not be SBTi-certified, and reports 251 tonnes of methane emitted during the year.
