Overview

The report describes NATS's efforts to reduce aircraft noise and fuel burn through continuous descent, performance-based navigation, queue management and airspace improvements. It reports 3,502 tonnes of Scope 1 emissions, 24,996 tonnes of Scope 2 emissions, 60,586 MWh of energy consumption and 48,630 m3 of water consumption for 2016-17. NATS highlights transition to ISO14001:2015 at Glasgow and Manchester towers, biodiversity work and community programmes including payroll charitable giving. It also reports a B performance ranking from CDP and a 10% ATM-related CO2 reduction target by 2020.
