Overview

The report presents NGK's FY2010 CSR performance through objectives and achievements across its stakeholder and environmental programs. It reports that 10 of 11 items in the Second Five-Year Environmental Action Plan were achieved, with the CO2 reduction target the sole exception. FY2010 energy-origin CO2 emissions totaled 136,000 tons, while by-products generated by NGK totaled 11,200 tons and recycling reached 99%. The report also introduces the Third Five-Year Environmental Action Plan for fiscal 2011-2015, extending consolidated environmental management to overseas Group companies.
