Overview

The report presents FY2022 sustainability activities across six materiality issues, including carbonless nickel smelting, recycled-material use and a new energy-efficient electric arc furnace. It reports total Scope 3 emissions of 669,000 ton-CO2 across Categories 1-7 and sets a 46% Scope 1+2 reduction target by FY2031 against FY2014, alongside net zero by FY2051. Sustainability oversight is led by a president-chaired Sustainability Strategy Promotion Committee reporting to the Board of Directors.
