Overview

The report presents Nordea's first combined CSR report for 2008 and describes a revised CSR strategy and a new Nordea Ecological Footprint programme. It covers operational initiatives including electronic banking, energy efficiency, paper, waste and emissions. Nordea reports operational CO2 emissions in the order of 87,000 tonnes and an average workforce of 33,408 employees. The report also documents the bank's UN Global Compact, UNEP FI, UNPRI and Equator Principles commitments, and includes a limited external review by KPMG.
