Overview

The report describes FY2002 environmental performance for the Olympus Group and its covered facilities, including 45,966 t-CO2 of energy-related emissions and a 3.7% absolute reduction. It reports 3,450 tons of waste discharged from development and manufacturing facilities in Japan, including 1,920 tons recycled and a 56% recycling rate. ISO14001 certification covered 15 of 18 development and manufacturing facilities, representing approximately 53% of Group employees.
