Responsible Investing Report

Overview

The report describes OPTrust's 2019 responsible-investing progress, including completion of the first phase of a total-fund climate change risk assessment and reporting aligned with the TCFD framework. It reports voting at 2,048 company meetings in 53 countries and engagement with 453 companies on ESG issues. The report also presents a 270 tonnes of tCO2e equivalent per million dollars of revenue carbon footprint for an assessed portion of the public equities portfolio and notes the launch of the Sustainable Investing and Innovation team.
