Environmental Report

Overview

The report describes Orkla's 1999 group-wide environmental activities across branded consumer goods, chemicals and other businesses. It reports operating revenues of NOK 31.5 billion and a workforce equivalent to 24,402 man-years, alongside group energy consumption of 4,059 GWh. The key figures include 258,589 tonnes of CO2 emissions from the Group's total thermal energy consumption in Norway.
