Overview

The report describes PepsiCo's 2013 progress across human, environmental, talent sustainability and global citizenship. It reports 4,139,000 metric tons of CO2 equivalents from combined direct and indirect GHG emissions for legacy operations, a 2 percent decrease versus 2012, and says nearly 93 percent of total waste generated was put to beneficial use. Water partnerships had helped 3 million people gain access to safe water, with the goal doubled to 6 million by 2015. The Sustainable Farming Initiative had been deployed across 300,000 acres in North America.
