Overview

The report is Pharmaniaga Berhad's inaugural stand-alone sustainability report for FY2017, covering Malaysian Group subsidiaries and excluding overseas operations. It describes a sustainability governance structure in which the Board of Directors is ultimately accountable and the Board Sustainability Committee reviews and approves sustainability policies and frameworks. The report highlights a close to 2,000-strong Malaysian workforce, with a 51% male and 49% female gender balance, and more than 60% women in Senior Management. Environmental initiatives included energy audits at four manufacturing plants, ISO 14001:2015-compliant wastewater treatment, and measures to reduce emissions and waste.
