Overview

The report highlights Plains' 2021 formation of an HSES Board Committee to oversee HSES matters, continued emissions reductions, and a companywide waste management and minimization plan. Reported 2021 gross Scope 1 emissions were 805,000 mt CO2e and Scope 2 emissions were 976,000 mt CO2e, for 1,782,000 mt CO2e combined. Plains also formed an Emerging Energy team and described hydrogen storage and battery-storage initiatives as part of its energy transition work.
