Overview

The report describes the Group's 2025 decarbonisation work across electricity, gas and energy-from-waste businesses, including 3,850 MW of coal-fired capacity phased out since 2017 and 46,000 tonnes of liquified CO2 captured for greenhouse use. It highlights an 8% year-on-year increase in renewable gas production and a 67% Scope 1 and 2 reduction target by 2035 from a 2020 baseline. The company also extended its double materiality approach, strengthened its Just Transition Plan, and contributed over 30,000 community-initiative hours. The transition plan reports 2025 emissions of 6.72 million tCO2e for Scope 1 and market-based Scope 2, with previous years restated.
