Overview

The report describes Fayetteville Public Works Commission's sustainability efforts across utility operations, customer programs, and resource stewardship. In 2020, advanced-meter leak detection identified 21,000 potential leaks and saved 22 million gallons of water. FY2020 customer incentive programs saved 388,000 kWh of electricity and 709,648 gallons of water. The report also highlights a 1 MW community solar farm with 500 kW of battery storage and ongoing lower-emission fleet, LED lighting, recycling, watershed, and wetland initiatives.
