Overview

The report presents PuraPharm's 2018 sustainability activities under the theme “Seeding Sustainability; Reinforcing Well-being,” covering its Hong Kong and PRC offices, plants, warehouses and clinics. It highlights a medicinal-plant conservation programme that conserved over 30 endangered herbs through cloning and breeding. Environmental disclosures include 3,630 tonnes of CO2 equivalent (tCO2e) Scope 1 emissions, 4,606 tCO2e Scope 2 emissions, 143,565 m3 of water consumed and waste recycling initiatives. Social highlights include more than 450 training programmes, zero work-related fatalities and community health and education programmes.
