The report presents RWE's first consolidated environmental dataset for the entire Group, covering 2003 CO2 emissions of 155,787 thousand metric tons, water consumption of 308,655 thousand cubic meters, and waste volume of 7,533 thousand metric tons. It also highlights the Executive Board's adoption of a Group sustainability strategy and RWE's December 2003 accession to the UN Global Compact. The Group workforce stood at 127,028, while women represented 21.8 percent of the workforce.
