Overview

The report is Samsung Electronics' first sustainability report, consolidating financial, environmental and social performance across subsidiaries. It highlights a 47% GHG reduction in 2007 versus 2001 and sets a corporate-wide 45% reduction target by 2010 based on production volume. Consolidated sales reached KRW 98.5 trillion in 2007. An independent review provided reasonable assurance over financial performance and limited assurance over selected sustainability sections and indicators, with reporting aligned to GRI G3.
