Sustainable Business Report

Overview

The report presents Sandvik's Group-wide sustainability activities for the 2014 fiscal year under GRI G4 Core and the UN Global Compact Advanced criteria. It reports 47,318 FTE employees, 8,808 TJ of energy consumption, 385 Thousand tons of CO 2 emissions and 370 Thousand tons of waste. Safety performance improved, with LTIFR reduced to 2.5 and no fatalities in 2014. The report also highlights recycling programs, renewable electricity purchasing and strengthened sustainable supplier management.
