Overview

The report describes Sandvik's revised Sustainable Business strategy and strengthened environmental and climate-change focus in 2015. It reports Group-wide energy consumption of 8,527 TJ, CO2 emissions of 365 Thousand tons and water consumption of 7,696 Thousand m3. Safety performance improved to a Group LTIFR of 2.1, although three people lost their lives in work-related incidents. The report also details UN Global Compact and GRI G4 Core reporting, a global Code of Conduct rollout and external limited assurance.
