Overview

The report presents Santos' 2012 sustainability performance across community, environment, people and economic contributions. It reports 3,807,773 tCO2e of Scope 1 emissions and 3,845,568 tonnes of combined Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, alongside an approximate Scope 3 estimate of 16 MtCO2e. Santos reports 3,289 employees, zero employee and contractor fatalities, and a materiality assessment covering 24 relevant sustainability indicators. The report also includes independent assurance, including limited assurance of selected performance data and separate reasonable assurance of its emissions profile.
