Annual Environmental Report

Overview

The report presents SGN's first-year RIIO-GD2 environmental performance for 2021/22, including 740,163 tCO2e of Scope 1 emissions, 2,652 tCO2e of location-based Scope 2 emissions and 721,448 tCO2e of shrinkage emissions. It sets a company-wide net-zero target for 2045 and reports 181,988 tonnes of total waste, while noting that approximately 96% was recycled. The report does not disclose a full Scope 3 emissions total because of acknowledged data gaps, but provides a screening assessment and selected Scope 3 information. Environmental performance data was subject to limited independent assurance by ERM CVS.
