Overview

The report describes Shimadzu's FY2014 environmental and social activities, including an ISO 14001-based environmental management system and a new president-chaired environmental meeting. It reports 46,473 t-CO2 of CO2 emissions from energy use by the Shimadzu Group and a 99.7% recycling ratio for Japanese manufacturing and laboratory locations. The new head office's Shimadzu Forest received the highest AAA JHEP score. Shimadzu also held two supplier waste-management workshops attended by 134 people from 114 companies.
