Overview

The report describes Shin-Etsu's Group-level CSR promotion system and environmental performance for fiscal 2008. Energy use was 642,000 kiloliters of crude oil equivalent, while carbon dioxide emissions from energy use totaled 1.18 million tons (CO2 equivalent). The Group recycled 57,600 tons of waste and added 5,800 tons to landfills, while also reporting employee and community initiatives.
