Overview

The report presents the Shin-Etsu Group's 2009 environmental performance across 11 domestic and 24 overseas companies, including 1,730 million liters of energy usage, 2,940,000 CO2-ton of emissions and 207,000 ton of total waste. It describes company-wide CSR and environmental oversight through a CSR Promotion Committee and responsible officers. The report also documents waste recycling, pollution prevention, safety programs and employee initiatives. A third-party verification report concludes that the Environmental-Social Report 2010 and Responsible Care report are accurate and complete.
