Overview

The report is Simon's first comprehensive sustainability report, covering U.S. properties and calendar-year 2013 data. It highlights an approximately 30% reduction in electricity consumption since 2003, 175 EV charging stations at 60 properties, and more than 34,000 tons of cardboard recycled in 2013. In 2014, Simon established a Sustainability Executive Committee and appointed a Director of Sustainability, while receiving CDP leadership recognition and a GRESB Green Star rating. Its 2013 GHG assertion received limited independent assurance from Lucideon under ISO 14064-3.
